Weekend Getaway + JW Marriott Orlando Grand Lakes

Hello Again .. Post card from Orlando

How dreamy is this place! I was so excited when I found out I would be heading to Orlando FL, in partnership with JW Marriott Orlando Grand Lakes. It would be my first time in Orlando (yes I know, weird… I’ve never been to Disney) ha ha and I loved it. Also, it’s my first time staying at the JW Marriott Orlando Grand Lakes so it was even more exciting! My weekend was perfect, a nice gateway away from home. My Fourth of July weekend was quiet so this made up for it.

I didn’t take a break after checking-in. I freshened up and went to enjoy some food and a nice swim in the pool. They have a lazy river, which was amazing and so relaxing. If you have kids this is the place to vacation. We had lunch at the pool’s restaurant, Quench; it had really good drinks and poolside food. For the rest of the afternoon, we chilled by the pool and snapped some photos for the gram.

The view from the presidential suite was beyond beautiful, especially experiencing the sunset and sunrise. The best part was being welcomed with some yummy goodies and a bottle of wine.

On Friday evening, we had reservations at Primo one of their dining restaurants. I must say it was excellent, one of the best places I have ever had dinner. The service was amazing, our server Jody, took pride in his knowledge of the food. Not only does the restaurant have its’ own organic garden but their pasta is homemade. The venue and the food were outstanding….5 stars for me!The next morning we got up bright and early and had breakfast at Citron, another dining restaurant. We decided to hit the pool really early. We had our dose of coffee and sun that morning.

Something unexpected happened on this trip. One of my followers Ashley, she works over at the hotel brother Ritz Carlton wanted me to have a nice Cabana for the weekend, with all access to the spa. She was super kind to me and even had a few goodies. I’m truly thankful for the people I meet along the way. A few of my followers will either message me or when they see me they say, “I follow and admire you” but it’s me who’s thankful for those followers. She really made my weekend!

After a nice swim, we went for late lunch sushi. The lobby had a nice sushi restaurant and let me tell you it was amazing. That evening we had reservations at Whisper Creek Arm The kitchen. It was a more tapas place so I knew I wasn’t going to order as much food.

Let me tell you, this place was super cool; I love the couch seating and the decor was super LA vibes. The food was outstanding just like Primo very organic and the bread is made in-house. The service was amazing, we spoke with a manager and server and they were both very kind and happy to serve us. Our waitress said one of the reasons she loves working for JW Marriott they pay 40% of their employee’s education if they decide to continue going to school, how awesome is that! Love it when a company takes pride on their people. Another reason to recommend this place.

Overall, this trip was amazing, the service, the stay, the food and the pool. Everyone was friendly there was not a question that was not answered by the staff. Everyone was willing to help. Obviously, there are many other activities to do in the hotel because of time we didn’t do much. Just relaxing at the hotel, by the pool and enjoying their dining was an experience in itself. This is one of the luxuries of having a blog you get to share each experience. I’m glad I got to share each day on my Instastories & Instagram #adifferentday

I highly recommend this place for your family but if your looking for some alone time for yourself or your partner the Ritz is in walking distance. You can book a nice spa day or even eat at their restaurants, I heard is super good as well. They have a nice cabana that you either book a private party or just a family stay. They also have a shop, gym, a FedEx if you have urgent work, Starbucks, and cafe bodega. You don’t need to leave the place unless your going to an amusement park.

Cheers to a great weekend and thank you, JW Marriott Orlando Grand Lakes, for the amazing stay can’t to visit again!!

I must admit, you have a beautiful body! The swimsuit in rainbow stripes ideally flatters your feminine silhouette. The pom-pom tote bag is great choice for beach days! Sunglasses are statement and oversized (as I love)
